Sequel to months of speculations concerning the MoHits camp over a record deal with Hollywood industry giants, hot on the heels of a collaboration remaking D’Banjs hit track “Mr Endowed” featuring Snoop Dogg; it is confirmed that he alongside Manager and CEO MoHit Records Don Jazzy, have sealed a deal with US artist Kanye West. The first bit of information that made the news concerning this was a phrase on twitter made by Kanye West to Don Jazzy and D’Banj earlier in the year.
LE gathered that Kanye West has just signed Dapo Adebanjo a.k.a. D’banj and his producer Don Jazzy to his GOOD (Getting Out Our Dreams) Music label. The Artiste’s manager, Sunday Are, confirmed that there have been talks between Mr. West and D’banj but that D’Banj officially signed the contract on Thursday June 9, 2011. “Yes there have been discussions between the two parties lately. They have been exchanging contracts but now the wait is over,” he said.
The highly ecstatic Nigerian superstars made some comments on twitter, expressing their joy and thanking fans for the support with D’Banj making a note of Tongolo’s release seven long years back and how much progress had been achieved. Wikipedia has already added D'Banj's name on the list of G.O.O.D music signed artistes which includes Kid Cudi, Common and John Legend
