Sam Loco Efe has been confirmed dead.
Yesterday, the media supposedly fell for a "false alarm"; one that was borne out of supposed occurence. The actor Sam Loco Efe did suffer a heart attack, but he was rescuscitated for a while before he eventually passed - hence the varying news on his death. Some eye witnesses who probably didn't wait to ocnfirm the news spread it fact and let the "Jet age" syndrome take us over. People like me who even waited for proper confirmation before putting up a condolence piece still didn't manage to get accurate information. I apologise for falling for this false information and making a report of it as well, to as many that visited the site for clarifications.
Confirmations however state that the actor, a fan favorite and Nollywood veteran died in Rapport hotel Amakohia, Owerri. According to the President of the Actors Guild, Segun Arinze, Sam Loco was in Owerri to edit a movie "Unknown Prophet" which he had directed; the movie was shot on location in Port Harcourt. He hadnt shown up the next day and his hotel door had to be forced open where his body was then discovered.
A pioneer in the industry, Sam Loco Efe will be missed by friends, fans and Nollywood enthusiasts. Sam Loco Efe acted in movies such as "Evil woman", "Powerful civilian"... God rest your soul, Sam Loco Efe.
This is a real sad story. the most annoying part of it is that the cause of death is unknown. Well, "all die na die". God rest his soul
