FLAVOR NABANIA's FIGHT WITH BADBEATS RECORD CONTINUES...

Chinedu Okoli a.k.a Flavour has fallen out with his Badbeats record label after the barely six month old relationship which started on a very promising note and propelled the artiste to an enviable position of reckoning. According to the news, Flavour is no longer an inhabitant of the posh 7 bedroom duplex rented in his name at the Magodo suburb of Lagos. This unfortunate occurrence took effect after the record label threatened to institute a legal action against him. Making true its threat, a quit notice was served Flavour by the record label’s legal representatives to vacate the said premises within 7 days of the notice. The duration has since elapsed, and the situation threw Flavour and his team into a state of pandemonium. The stranded artiste is however said to be in search of another befitting accommodation currently in the FESTAC area.
The spokes person of the record label, Mr. Anderson was quoted to have said “this is just the beginning of the legal battle”. He assured that the Bad beats Management will not relent in its effort to bring the full arm of the law to bear in the case. “We are in a civil society and have laws governing every facet. When people disregard contracts, the legal system is there to restore justice and we are fully prepared to seek a redress in the court of law” he said.
The Nabania crooner; Flavour and Badbeats records signed a contractual agreement for a 3 years 2 album deal on the 12th of January 2011, so far the label is alleged to have spent close to N10 million on equipping the artistes with all the necessary paraphernalia to function ultimately including a posh car, fully furnished apartment, expensive photograph sessions, 2 top charting music videos, an American P3 working visa with few international shows lined up for the artiste. Trouble started when Flavour and his team insisted that the label can only start collecting proceeds from shows only after recording their 1st album under the contract since he recorded the current album; Uplifted on his own claiming that the record label was yet to fulfill all its legal obligations which included installing a state of the art recording studio for his works.
